Backend API Engineer
Build dependable service boundaries for document products, recruitment workflows and shared company infrastructure. Make APIs predictable under retries, partial failures and changing requirements.

What you'll work on
- Design versioned endpoints, validation and ownership checks with clear contracts.
- Implement idempotent background work, database migrations and safe integration boundaries.
- Test failure recovery, concurrent requests and compatibility before releasing backend changes.
What you bring
- Experience maintaining a backend service in Python, TypeScript, PHP or a comparable language.
- Practical understanding of SQL, transactions, access controls and HTTP behavior.
- Ability to document API decisions and investigate failures without exposing user records.
First projects
- Strengthen retry and ownership contracts across document-service APIs.
- Improve integration fixtures and migration checks for shared backend workflows.

Compensation and engagement
₹90,000 - ₹1,40,000 / month
Ranges are in INR per month, not annual CTC or take-home pay. For full-time employment, the range describes gross monthly base pay; for a paid contract, it describes the monthly fee for the agreed scope. Final compensation stays within the listed range, with hours, deliverables, deductions and engagement terms confirmed in writing before work begins.
Remote within India. This role is available through full-time employment or a paid contract, with the arrangement agreed before starting. Benefits, working hours, equipment and payment schedules depend on the written terms.
