LLM & Retrieval Engineer

What you'll work on

• Prototype chunking, retrieval and reranking strategies against representative authorized questions.
• Evaluate citation support, missing evidence and prompt-injection risks.
• Define access-aware retrieval, bounded context and non-AI fallbacks before exposing a feature.

What you bring

• Practical experience with retrieval systems, language-model APIs or local model integration.
• Ability to evaluate relevance and answer support rather than relying only on fluent output.
• Good judgment about document permissions, sensitive data and untrusted retrieved instructions.

First projects

• Evaluate a synthetic product-support retrieval benchmark.
• Prototype grounded document assistance with explicit citations and abstention behavior.

Compensation and engagement

₹1,00,000 - ₹1,40,000 / month

Ranges are in INR per month, not annual CTC or take-home pay. For full-time employment, the range describes gross monthly base pay; for a paid contract, it describes the monthly fee for the agreed scope. Final compensation stays within the listed range, with hours, deliverables, deductions and engagement terms confirmed in writing before work begins.

Remote within India. This role is available through full-time employment or a paid contract, with the arrangement agreed before starting. Benefits, working hours, equipment and payment schedules depend on the written terms.
